Introducing VisaEase - the automatic visa checking tool!
Visa Ease allows you to review visa requirements for ever traveller in your booking file and every destination.
The application inspects your current booking file and determines which countries, including transit points, are being travelled to as well as passenger nationalities. Visa Ease then checks the visas that are required for the trip by connecting with CIBT.
Visa Ease then displays the overall visa requirement for each country. The details of this are recorded in the booking file for your reference - how good is that!?

PNR Watcher v3
-
PNR Watcher is a powerful tool that monitors booking file content and activities and responds with information or actions when predefined criteria has been matched.
For example
* display an alert about the special needs of a client the instant their name is entered into a booking file
* a Word document, containing details on this months specials, can be automatically opened when a consultant sells a particular Airline/Destination
* a prompt can appear to get the relevant cost centre needed to end a booking
This guide will show you how to create rules, and the steps required to get your site fully functional with PNR Watcher.
The product itself is split into three components -
agent desktop : this component has no ‘user interface’, however it seamlessly integrates into the agent desktop software, displaying the alerts screen and performing the required pre-defined actions
database : a repository for all the rules/action data
administrator module : allows you to create/delete/modify the rules stored in the database. It is the ‘User Interface’ to the database. This user guide will detail how to use the PNR Watcher Administration application. -
This section introduces the PNR Watcher Admin tool
-
Departments allow you to control which rules are applicable to individual users. For example you could have a set of rules only for your Ticketing department and another set of rules that are only for the team looking after a particular client.
-
Users are very important as control if a consultant is configured to use PNR Watcher and the rules that they will see.
-
Tables can now be used in 3 ways!
Firstly they make it quicker and easier to build rules. They allow you to validate several values at once - a great example is if you want to write a rule for your VIP customers. You can create a table for VIPCUSTOMERS containing a list of Account Codes then link to that table when creating the rule (If DI.AC is in table VIPCUSTOMERS) instead of having to use a long winded Or statement (If DI.AC=1234 or DI.AC=5678 or DI.AC=9900 or etc).
Secondly a table can be created with a list of values, which you can then prompt the user to select from.
Thirdly! The system now allows rules administrators to utilise entries in a Table as part of the Entry Trigger. For example, you may have a list of VIP BAR names, so you can now create a Table with all those BAR names and then create an Entry Trigger where if anyone makes a CMT entry with one of the BAR names from the list - an action is performed.
-
If you are like a lot of agencies, the power of PNR Watcher leads to lots of rules being created, and sometimes the rules can get lost in the list shown to the administrator. PNR Watcher 3.0 introduces the ability to perform a search across the rules to help pinpoint relevant rules
-
This section will take a step by step approach to creating a rule.
-
Each rule can be assigned with up to 3 separate actions to perform once the rule has been matched. Each action is defined on its own tab within the Rule-Action area.
Select the required tab and use the drop down list to select the appropriate action required. The right hand side of the tab changes indicating the appropriate data required by each action.
-
A regular expression, regex or regexp (sometimes called a rational expression) is, in theoretical computer science and formal language theory, a sequence of characters that define a search pattern.
These are used in PNR Watcher in the Entry Trigger box (to pattern match an entry), in the Prompt for Input action box or the Matches / Does Not Match Pattern rule operator

Recommended Procedures
In order to preserve the users, departments and rules created it is essential that the database is regularly backed up. At the most basic level the PNR Watcher/mdb file should be copied and stored in a different location at a regular interval. Ideally the database should be located on a network server that is automatically backed-up on to removable media on a regular occurrence.
!! If you do not follow this advice, you could loose all the rules stored in the database. Navitas Solutions will not be held responsible for any loss of data. It is your responsibility to ensure your data is adequately protected !!
